This light series was ubiquitous in his father’s haulage company. Oliver Grüttemeier spent whole summers at a time in these trucks.
The model series.
The 817 LS – L stands for air-sprung in German and S for tractor truck – was produced starting in 1985 and rolled off the assembly line with 121 kW (170 hp) at 7.5 tonnes in weight. It is equipped with an OM 366 A six-cylinder engine and belongs to the LK (light class) model series.
