Impressive: the test drive in the eActros started right there in the hall

IAA Transportation 2022

Trucks of the future.

Without airs and graces, but clearly a star: the eActros at the IAA Transportation trade fair in Hanover – as the eActros 300, eActros 400 and eActros LongHaul. And there was also a sound comparison between eActros and Actros L.

Trucks driving in a trade fair hall – has this ever happened? Now it has! This highlight was presented by the employees at the Mercedes‑Benz Trucks stand. A well‑secured track with entrance and exit allowed the test drivers to start directly from the hall to make their laps outside. "This truck is the future," enthused RoadStars member Tobias Wöllmer.

And the battery-powered truck presented itself in a wide range of variants: as an eActros 300 refrigerated box, tractor, skip loader or roll‑off tipper, each with a range of 300 kilometres. But also as an eActros 400 with a range of 400 kilometres.

An absolute innovation for long-haul transport of the future and a magnet for visitors: the eActros LongHaul with a planned range of around 500 kilometres.

It was quiet in the box body of an eActros: astonished visitors discovered a true sound experience with the sound panel installed there – an interior and exterior comparison of the quiet Actros L with the eActros.

In addition to exciting trucks, the Mercedes-Benz Trucks exhibition stand also presented interesting personalities:

in the next article, we will present Werner Kempfle and his work with the eActros. Stay tuned!
