Powerliner.

In the last part of our series, we would like to introduce a unique specimen from the Netherlands. The “Powerliner” was built as a demo truck. Its role model is a legend.


Mercedes‑Benz Trucks Nederland’s Powerliner is reminiscent of the Actros’ predecessor: the heavy class. However, the truck models are completely different – there are after all more than two decades of development between the series.

The basis of the Powerliner is a fully air-sprung fifth-generation Actros LS 6×2/4 with a GigaSpace cab. The vehicle comes with a pneumatic, sliding coupling with which trailers of various sizes can be attached to the truck. An AdBlue® tank was fitted behind the cab, so that the truck can be equipped with a second 180-litre diesel tank in addition to the large 680-litre tank. The chassis is clad in chequer plates and a Danish bumper is mounted on the rear axle.

No wish remains unfulfilled.

Mercedes‑Benz Trucks Nederland fit the Powerliner with six packages: with the Multimedia Package, Climate Package, Safety Package, Safety Package, Climate Package and Driving Package, this Actros doesn’t really leave any wishes unfulfilled. However, Mercedes‑Benz went one step further and fit the truck with side lights and a lowered sun visor with four headlights as well.


The Powerliner is a one-off. The demo truck is supposed to be reminiscent of the heavy class (SK).
