Trucking for all

Stationary devotion.

Sharing the truck love across the wider community; one man proves his devotion to driving whilst standing stationary.

Britain's truck fans.

Blair Cameron is arguably one of Britain’s biggest truck fans. An avid transport photographer, he lives and breathes HGVs, proving you don’t have to be a driver to live in the world of trucking.

Dedication without the driving.

For as long as he can remember, 21-year-old Blair Cameron has always been fascinated by trucks. Some of his fondest memories are from time spent in the cab of a Mercedes-Benz Atego, driven by his beloved Grandad at Scotland’s largest independent dairy, Graham’s.

Blair is autistic and because of this, has a fear of driving, even though he would love to be able to follow in his Grandad’s footsteps. Therefore, while a career behind the wheel is not an option for him at this stage, he’s living proof that you can’t keep a good man down! In fact, you’d be hard pushed to find someone who is as passionate about trucks as Blair.

Trucking escapism.

Blair is one of Britain’s most active transport photographers, travelling the length and breadth of the UK, taking pictures of his favourite vehicles in action. Considering he’s based up in Rosyth near the Scottish town of Fife, you have to admire his dedication.

During lockdown, photography was his saving grace and most  days he would walk up to the flyover near his house and take pictures of the trucks travelling up and down the motorway.

“My absolute favourite model would have to be the Mercedes Actros GigaSpace. It has a really smart design and looks great.”

Actros grabs the top spot.

As well as a huge catalogue of photographs he’s taken throughout his travels, Blair is also the proud owner of one of the biggest collections of model trucks you’re ever likely to see! Inspired in childhood, he has acquired many over the years with a firm favourite being the Mercedes-Benz Actros. In fact, he has a few in his collection, even though he’s slowly but surely running out of space for them all.

“My absolute favourite model would have to be the Mercedes Actros GigaSpace. It has a really smart design and looks great,” he enthused.

Getting back on the road.

Blair is full of excitement about getting out and about more to see some of his favourite trucks in action once again - up close and personal. He’s especially looking forward to attending this year’s Truckfest Scotland at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre.

If you happen to be there and fancy an in-depth chat about the Mercedes-Benz Actros – Blair is your guy!
