The promise.

Good things come to those who wait: Johann Rotsch got the option to purchase his AK 1936 back in 1988. 27 years later, he purchased it. In remarkable condition.

The series.

The new generation (NG) is updated for the first time at the end of the 1970s. It is now called the NG80. Behind the NG truck family is a sophisticated modular system that lives on in its successor, the SK, from 1988. The engine development is based on a carry-over parts concept. As opposed to its predecessor, this means that the same part is used in different engines.

A key benefit for production and for the supply of replacement parts: rather than 1,600 parts like in the previous engine range, the 400 series now only requires 650 parts. Compared to the cubic driver’s cab, the NG cabs are completely redeveloped. Rain strips and air guide nozzles make them less susceptible to dirt. Particularly practical for the driver is the service flap, which allows the driver to check and refill the coolant, oil, windscreen washer fluid and hydraulic fluid.
