Yesterday's technology hands on: 900 fans of historic vehicles attend the sixth historic tipper truck event at the Wesel-Bislich quarry in the Niederrhein.

Heinrich Schmitz (left) and his cousin Klaus Gerritzma have come to the Wesel with two Mercedes-Benz round-bonneted tipper trucks with all-wheel drive.

Das waren noch Zeiten. Ich fuhr 1978 auch Baustellenverkehr ab Steinbruch Magstadt auf die B27, A8, Mercedes Neuwagenparkplatz Sindelfingen ect. Allerdings mit einem MAN Hauber 3 Achser mit Hänger. Meinen 1. Mercedes fuhr bei der Bundeswehr 1973/74 und den 2. ab Januar 1979 als Hängerkühlzug im intern. Fernverkehr.

Ich habe in den 60ern und 70ern LKW gefahren . Die Rundhauber von Mercedes waren auf allen Straßen zu sehen . Der 1624 als Kieslaster und mit Schlafkabine als Zugmaschine für Tankwagen .
