As good as new after over 25 years: Anton Hotz’s SK 1824 AK

Only just five digits.

Anton and Alexander Hotz were actually looking for a three-axle dump truck for extension work on the business. But they couldn’t say no to the two-axle SK 1824 all-wheel-drive dump truck from 1994.

When they inspected the 1824, father Anton (right) and son Alexander Hotz could hardly believe the top condition the truck was in.

The series.

The heavy class (SK), which has been built since 1988, was overhauled in 1994. In the end, the so-called “second series” was replaced by the Actros. Optically, the series differs from its predecessor with its rounded and tapered lateral spoilers. The makeover now gives the radiator front the impression of having a V-shape.
