Actros special editions – part 5

Series

Actros1.

In the fifth part of our series, we look at a first for Great Britain: in 2018, Mercedes‑Benz Trucks UK launched the Actros1 on the market.

So that the Actros1 remained something very special, Mercedes‑Benz Trucks UK limited the number of the limited-edition model to 100 vehicles. The truck, available in a choice of either black or in the combination of black and silver, was primarily developed for self‑driving entrepreneurs. But since its market launch in 2018, it has also found its place in larger fleets. For companies that are perhaps looking for a flagship for their fleet and would like to provide their employees with a well‑equipped truck, the Actros1 was and is exactly the right truck for the job.

The Actros1 is based on the 6×2 chassis and is fit with the largest cabin, the GigaSpace L-cab. The available engine options are either the OM 473 in its most powerful version with 460 kW or the OM 471 with 390 kW.

In addition, the full range of safety technologies were built into the Actros1, which were the measure of things at the time the vehicle was released: for example, the Proximity Control Assist and the Active Brake Assist. The driver of the truck is also supported by Proximity Control Assist.

A cool look: the Actros1 was launched as a limited-edition model in Great Britain in 2018.

Impressive features.

In the cabin, the driver can look forward to the StyleLine interior concept. Among other things, this is complemented by a leather steering wheel and comfort leather massage seats for both the driver and front‑seat passenger. Practical features such as automatic air conditioning, an electric sunroof and sunblind, a microwave and pull-out refrigerator as well as storage compartments in the back also make life a little easier for the driver.

Exterior features include painted side guards and steps, Alcoa Dura‑Bright alloy wheels with painted hubs and roof‑mounted horns. Bi‑xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps and an illuminated star in the radiator grille round off the truck’s cool look.

The number of trucks was strictly limited, with only 100 vehicles on offer.
