Actros special editions – part 4
Series
In this part of our “limited-edition models of the Actros” series, we are looking at an eye-catcher from Italy: Four years ago, the Actros Iron 530 celebrated its premiere – a little later all of the 53 vehicles had been sold.
Only a few weeks after Mercedes‑Benz Italy had presented the Actros Iron 530 during the racing weekend of the 2018 European Truck Racing Championship at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, all of the 53 limited-edition vehicles had been sold. The Acitoinox truck impresses at the very first glance.

Less is more.
The Actros Iron 530 was brought out together with the BigSpace L-cab. Spoilers, sills, bi-xenon headlamps and aluminium rims make the truck, which in glossy black is already an eye-catcher, beam even more. The designers put the finishing touch with subtle decorative details. No wonder the truck was a highlight at the racetrack in Misano – even amongst the numerous show trucks.
The limited-edition models are equipped with the OM 471 in-line six-cylinder engine. And it is clear: the number 530 in the name of the truck refers to the power – 390 kW (530 h.p.). In addition, the truck is equipped with the intelligent Predictive Powertrain Control cruise control.
A further feature is the 1.150-litre diesel tank, for example. Also built into the truck is the Truck Data Centre, which is the basis for all connectivity solutions.
The designers used subtle decorative elements.
